Our first student recital took place in January in the historically rich surroundings of Preston Minster. This beautiful venue houses a Bösendorfer Imperial Grand piano, which every student had the opportunity to perform on. These pianos aren’t seen on concert platforms as frequently as some other makes of piano, but they are considered by some to be the finest in the world. Playing on this incredible instrument in such a wonderful setting was certainly a very special occasion for all those involved.
The first awards ceremony took place at this event too. To celebrate students’ achievement, three awards were made: Technique, Musicianship and Endeavour.
